Scholarships and program information for individuals interested in ROTC information.

 For students interested in active duty or reserve military careers following graduation from college, West Virginia University offers two Reserve Office Training Corps programs: Air Force ROTC, and Army ROTC. Each provides scholarship opportunities for both in-state and out-of-state students.

Air Force ROTC courses are available to full-time Fairmont State students at no additional cost.  These courses are offered on the West Virginia University (WVU) campus at Morgantown in the Stansbury Hall. This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in an Air Force career.  There’s no military commitment for signing up for the courses unless a student is awarded and accepts a scholarship. If a student completes the ROTC program, he/she will be commissioned as a second lieutenant and go in the Air Force on active-duty.

Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) at Marshall University offers opportunities and challenges that can put you on the fast track to success in life. Students develop the confidence, self-esteem, motivation and leadership skills they need regardless of career plans. The qualities that ROTC training instills are vital to a productive and rewarding future. ROTC elective courses provide a combination of academics and important hands-on training. Their physical and mental challenges help students succeed in college and beyond.
