Experiencing Norwich means following one of two leadership paths—traditional or military. Whether the military college path or the traditional college path is chosen, students are challenged with leadership experiences and receive a balanced, rigorous education that allows them to act as well as think, and to execute as well as conceive.

The Army ROTC program at UVM offers men and women the opportunity to develop leadership and management skills that lead to an officer commission as a second lieutenant in the United States Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard. The four-year Military Studies program at UVM consists of a two-year Basic Course (first-year and sophomore year) and a two-year Advanced Course (junior and senior year).
