The Great Lakes Maritime Academy prepares future merchant marine officers/business professionals to learn the skills necessary for operating ships of all types. Curriculum  ranges from seamanship, navigation and piloting to steam and diesel engineering together with three semesters at sea aboard commercial vessels.

The Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) is an educational program which combines college electives in Military Science with practical and unmatched leadership training. Our military science courses are designed to prepare men and women for succeeding in college, becoming Army officers, and developing in their chosen career.

Offering high school students the opportunity to obtain a military education throug the JROTC program at Benton Harbor High School.
