The Orleans Battalion, Army ROTC program is designed to work hand in hand with your existing degree program. The ROTC program teaches students the principles of leadership and management, values and ethics, military skills, effective communication, and adventure training.

It’s a challenge. It’s an opportunity. It’s a head-start on a lifetime of success, within the AROTC and in everything you choose to do. AROTC is a college program offered at over 1000 colleges and universities across the U.S. that prepares you to become an AROTC officer.

Benton ROTC Cadet Kassidee Canfield was selected as the American Legion District 4 “Cadet of the Year” at the American Legion Post 202 in Benton. Cadet Canfield competed against cadets for both Army and Air Force Junior ROTC from Northwest Louisiana.  She now moves on to compete at the regional level.

  JROTC is unlike any other course offered in high school! It is not a core subject, yet the subjects we teach will enhance your ability to learn as well as to apply what you learn in all of your classes. It is not considered to be an academically difficult course, yet we offer an enriched level class to our juniors and seniors who qualify.
