Alaska Military Youth Academy

A Military type program designed for high school aged students who have found themselves unprepared for adulthood. The core services Alaska Military Youth Academy provides each student with begins with behavior modification. Military graduates must show leadership qualities as well as demonstrate that they are emotionally stable, physically fit, and show a desire to contribute their positive attributes to the school atmosphere.  Alaska Military Youth Academy has what they call the '8 core components' to complete for graduation. Upon completion, the cadet will have proved him/herself educated and ready enough to be a responsible adult and citizen to society.

University of Alaska Anchorage

UAA is made up of six different units of teaching: arts and sciences, business and public policy, health and social welfare, the Community and Technical College, the School of Engineering, and the colleges of Education.
The University offers a wide variety of specialty career programs to choose from, which feature Associate's, Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. They further offer vocational and professional certificates in over 150 major study areas, these include business, arts, sciences, educations, human services, and medical/health sciences. Through UAA's extensive  comprehensive curriculum, students are able to learn useful job skills and develop a cornerstone of educational belief that prepares them for success in future professional schools and in the workplace.

North Pole High School AFJROTC was started in 1994-95 with 70 cadets in a school of 900 students with Major Alonzo as the instructor. The program consists of 4 stages in Aerospace Science. 40% leadership and 60% Aerospace Science.

Colony High School JROTC is a class and organization within the school that motivates young people to be better citizens while developing skills in the areas of respect, dedication, communication, responsibility, and critical thinking.

Bartlett High School JROTC has included the program for it’s students to participate in the learning experience that the JROTC program offers. Students are taught leadership, discipline, respect, responsibility, and character.
