Marion Military Institute is one of five schools in the country that provides military training as a junior college.  Students from all around the country attend MMI to take advantage of it's strong foundation in education while also recieving unique military training.  Many students further their education by continuing on to a top military academy such as West Point, Air Force Academy, and Navel Academy.  One program MMI offers is it's Early Commisioning Program (ECP) which gives a student, that has been studying for two years, the opportunity to recieve commission as a Second Lieutenant.  Staff members equip each student with intellect and leadership skills to go out and achieve future success.   

Since 1898 Lyman Ward has been apart of educating some of the greatest minds and leaders through out the country as well as the world.  The Academy keeps a small enrollment for the exact purpose of achieving higher education while maintaining an environment that is challenging and supportive.  A strong point for LWMA is it's facality's constant challenge to identify each cadets strengths, skills, and abilities both physical and mental.  In the end, students go away knowing whats important in life and the confidence to take on personal challenges.

Auburn University NROTC offers Navy and Marine Corps programs and develop officers who are morally, mentally, and physically trained cadets.

Homewood High School AFJROTC has been Honor Unit for the past four years.  Takes part in field trips each year as well as being active in the community during Christmas by donating 2500 pounds of food last year.

Samford University AFROTC is an educational program designed to allow young men and women to pursue a commission in the United States Air Force while pursuing a college degree. Four year programs as well as two year programs are available to future cadets.  The leadership Laboratory provides an opportunity for students to apply classroom teachings to actual environments.
